Friday to-do list:
Drag tired self out of bed.
Flush kids’ toilet.
Groan about state of living room and kitchen that appear to have imploded as I was catching extra z’s.
Check Five Minute Friday prompt.
Think about prompt.
Eat breakfast.
Put on whatever is lying on my bedroom chair that is semi-clean.
Think about prompt.
Shuttle the girl to Bible school while thinking about the prompt.
Think.
Marinate ribs in the slow cooker for dinner while thinking about the prompt.
Think some more.
Head for computer, get waylaid by boy with Mr. Funny book in hand.
Sit in front of a blinking cursor.
Think think think.
Brain hurts. Stop thinking.
Write for 5.
Start thinking; (almost) resist urge to compulsively tweak.
Wave to the other bloggers.
DANCE...
We’ve been dance partners for over twelve years, dancing to this particular song for almost five. I notice he moves with increasing grace. Though for him the steps hurt, and the music frightens us both, he squeezes my hand all the tighter. Whether music plays quick and light, or uneven and discordant, we will not break hold. We won’t think of what we have left behind us on the floor. We won’t worry what song is going to play next. We will step and turn in ways we didn’t knew we could. We will find we’ve been given everything we need—that we don’t move as two, or as one, but as three.

I LOVE this post! So my reality. Visiting and waving back from the 5 Minute Friday!
